The Baha'i community has existed in Somerville for decades. Its life runs through members' homes: weekly prayer gatherings and a discussion group. Baha'is organize and host everything, and all of it is open to everyone. Children's and teen programs meet in neighboring Cambridge, and Somerville families take part.

About the Baha'i Faith
The Baha'i Faith is the youngest of the world's independent religions. It teaches that there is one God, that the great religions are chapters in one unfolding story, and that humanity is one family learning to live as one.
Baha'is have no clergy. Local communities are led by a council elected each year by secret ballot, with no campaigning. There are around eight million Baha'is in nearly every country on earth.

Programs for every age in Somerville

A program for teens, character classes for kids, and study circles meet in nearby Boston and Cambridge. None require membership, belief, or any prior knowledge, and there is no cost to attend.
