How we handle your information.

Last updated July 31, 2026. Written in plain language because that is how we communicate.

What we collect

When you fill out a contact or interest form on this site, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (if you choose to provide it)
  • Your city (if you choose to provide it)
  • Which programs interest you
  • Any message you write to us

That is everything. We do not collect information beyond what you type into a form.

How we use it

A real person from the Baha'i community near you reads your form submission and follows up personally. Your information is used only to connect you with your local community. It is not used for marketing, advertising, or any automated communication.

Who sees it

Your information is shared only with the local Baha'i community volunteer who follows up with you. It is not shared with any third party, sold to anyone, or used for any purpose other than responding to your inquiry.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics collects anonymized data about which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and where traffic comes from. This helps us improve the site. We do not use Facebook pixels or any other third-party tracking scripts. We do not build a profile of your interests or target you with advertising.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address for the sole purpose of sending you one email per month. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of any email. We do not share your email address with anyone.

Text message reminders

Members who turn on text reminders give us a mobile number. We store that number and the fact that you agreed to receive messages at it, and the date you agreed. Our text reminders page explains the program in full.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Twilio delivers the messages for us and receives your number for that purpose alone. You can withdraw your consent at any time by replying STOP to any message or by switching the text message setting off in your member profile.

Members agree to each kind of text separately. This is the signup screen, which sits behind the member login. Each consent checkbox names the number, starts unchecked, and links to this policy, our terms and conditions, and our text messaging policy:

The communication preferences panel in a member profile, with separate text checkboxes for announcements and event reminders and two unchecked consent boxes beneath them, one per message type

Data storage

Form submissions are stored securely and retained only as long as needed to follow up with you. We do not maintain a long-term database of inquiries.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete any information we have about you at any time. Email us at the address below and we will remove your data promptly.
